THE MOUNTING COMPANY — LIMITED WARRANTY

Designed, machined, and built in Phoenix, AZ.

The Mounting Company ("TMC") stands behind every mount we ship. We warrant to the original purchaser that all TMC fabricated aluminum mount products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service conditions, subject to the limitations set forth below.

STRUCTURAL & WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY

TMC warrants that the structural integrity of its machined aluminum components, including all welds, joints, mounting hardware, and quick-release mechanisms, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the lifetime of the product, defined as the period during which TMC continues to manufacture and sell the applicable product line. This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Coverage applies to failure under loads and conditions consistent with intended use as described in TMC's installation and tuning guidelines.

FINISH WARRANTIES

Type III Hard Anodize Finish

TMC's mounts are finished with Type III hard anodize, selected for its exceptional durability and abrasion resistance in demanding off-road environments. TMC warrants that the anodized finish will not peel, crack, chip, or flake for as long as the original purchaser owns the product. This warranty is non-transferable and does not extend to subsequent owners.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Minor color variation between individual components, batches, or replacement parts, which is an inherent and unavoidable characteristic of the anodizing process, particularly in darker tones such as black and dark bronze

  • Gradual fading or dulling of the anodized surface due to UV exposure, weathering, or repeated cleaning, which is normal over time

  • Surface scratching, scuffing, or finish wear caused by contact with gear, straps, tools, or abrasive surfaces during off-road use

  • Color matching between original and replacement parts

Powder Coated Finish (where applicable)

A couple of notes on the changes made:

The structural warranty now ties coverage to the product's active production lifetime rather than a fixed term, which is the standard approach for limited lifetime warranties — it sets a natural endpoint without an arbitrary year count.

The finish warranty is tied to original purchaser ownership, which is the most common framing for finish limited lifetime warranties and limits TMC's exposure on used/resold product.

If you'd like, I can also add standard general limitations language (exclusions for misuse, commercial use, acts of God, etc.) that typically accompanies a limited lifetime warranty, or adjust the transferability terms.

Where TMC products are finished in powder coat, TMC warrants that the powder coat finish will not peel, crack, or blister for a period of 1 year from the date of original purchase under normal exposure conditions.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Gradual color fading or chalking, which are normal characteristics of powder coat finishes exposed to UV, heat, and outdoor conditions and are not considered defects under this warranty

  • Gloss reduction over time due to weathering or cleaning

  • Color variation between production runs or replacement components

  • Finish damage from contact with fuel, solvents, harsh cleaners, or other chemicals

  • Standard wear from use in moving parts.

EXCLUSIONS — ALL WARRANTIES

This warranty does not apply to damage or failure caused by:

  1. Off-road impacts, rock strikes, trail debris, or other environmental hazards inherent to the intended use environment

  2. Improper installation, including failure to follow TMC's published installation and torque specifications

  3. Overloading beyond the rated load capacity of the mount

  4. Mechanical abuse, vandalism, accidents, or modification of the product after purchase

  5. Exposure to corrosive environments, including saltwater coastal areas or regular submersion in water or mud, without adequate rinsing and maintenance

  6. Use of abrasive cleaners, solvents, wire brushes, or pressure washing directly on finish surfaces

  7. Products that have been disassembled, modified, welded, drilled, or refinished after leaving TMC

  8. Acts of God, fire, flood, or conditions beyond TMC's control

  9. Normal wear and tear, including minor surface finish wear resulting from regular use and field contact

REMEDY

TMC's sole obligation under this warranty, and the buyer's exclusive remedy, shall be at TMC's sole discretion, repair, refinishing, or replacement of the defective component. TMC will not be responsible for costs associated with removal, reinstallation, transportation, vehicle downtime, or any incidental or consequential damages. Any warranty on a repaired or replaced product shall not extend beyond the remaining term of the original warranty period.

To initiate a claim, contact TMC at themountingcompany.com/pages/contact with your order number, a written description of the issue, and clear photographs of the defect.
